SoulCollage®

Exploring Personal Growth Through SoulCollage®
I was introduced to SoulCollage® by a passionate friend and colleague, and was immediately drawn in.
As someone who has always loved art but sometimes struggled with an inner critic while drawing or painting, I found SoulCollage® to be refreshingly different. Freed from inner doubt, I truly have fun with the creative process.

SoulCollage® was founded by Seena B. Frost, M.A., M.Div. (1932-2016), who developed the method in psychotherapy groups during the late 1980s.
Her work revealed the deep transformative potential of this creative practice. SoulCollage® is easy yet powerful. It involves selecting cut-out images and backgrounds to craft new, meaningful collages. The process is flexible—artists can add details if they wish, but the joy often comes from simply creating.
The Inquiry Process: Where the Magic Happens
Once your SoulCollage® card is complete, the truly transformative work begins. This inquiry process helps bridge the gap between your creative expression and your inner wisdom.

To illustrate, let me share the dialogue that emerged after I created my "relaxation" card. I spent time imagining myself inside the image and spoke directly from the card’s perspective. This is what it said to me:
"I am the one here to remind you to take a time out. Create a comfortable seating area, and surround yourself with pleasing sights. Gaze at nature, and be in nature.
I am also here to remind you that yoga and breathwork always make you feel good. I want you to remember that you deserve quiet moments to pause and reflect."
By naming this my "relaxation" card, I have an appealing visual anchor to support my well-being.
In psychotherapy sessions, I work with clients to elicit the unique wisdom and insights their collages have to share. Together, we uncover personalized avenues for healing and growth based on the intuition revealed through this powerful modality.
One of the most remarkable features of SoulCollage® is how it encourages inner wisdom to surface—insights that might have been unconscious before. When combined with reflective inquiry, this approach can support healing and personal growth.
Having completed SoulCollage® Facilitator Training, I am excited to incorporate this modality with my insight-oriented psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing work. It offers clients a unique and enriching path to self-discovery and healing.
